The provincial government has decided to sell FACE school’s heritage building. They claim that renovation costs are too high.
Primary and secondary students will be forcibly separated permanently. They will be left in two separate buildings, without the infrastructure necessary to support its unique pedagogical program in Quebec.
We are fighting against the eviction of FACE students from their school. Help us keep our building!

Fresh and encouraging news!
The Save FACE Collective recently contacted the office of the new Minister of Education, Sonia LeBel. We were able to resume discussions where we left off with the former minister’s office: our file has been transferred to advisors who are familiar with it and are not starting from scratch. We felt the same openness and attentiveness with the new team, which is a step in the right direction to find a more positive outcome for everyone dealing with this “FACEgate.”
Here we are, still strong with your unwavering support, even though some of you are now in another building. We have several years ahead of us having to contend with these conditions, torn between two worlds. We knew we would have to go through this ordeal: we must ensure that, for both primary and secondary levels, the coming years go as smoothly as possible despite the major upheavals underway.
We would like to thank all the staff members for their huge dedication: we know that, as always, they are doing everything in their power to help our children experience these transitions with joy, which is not always easy.
During this Public School Week, we take the time to warmly thank them for all the work accomplished under very difficult conditions.
We know our families are in good hands with you, FACE people! If you need any further assistance, feel free to ask!
