About

 A Citizen Movement

#SaveFACE is a citizen movement in favor of public education, culture, and Quebec heritage. A group of hundreds of students, parents, teachers, artists, architects, researchers, businesspeople, lawyers, and elected officials, we aim to protect and defend the sustainability of the educational program offered by F.A.C.E. school for half a century in Quebec. This program has notably produced key figures in the Quebec cultural and social scene, including Mitsou, Marilou Wolf, Fanny Britt, Alexia Burger, Rufus Wainwright, Abeille, and many others.

 A Quebec Model

A model of perseverance and academic success, FACE is housed in a historic heritage building, with multipurpose classrooms specially adapted for teaching through arts and culture. Through art and culture, this educational program allows primary and secondary students to forge bonds, regularly interacting and supporting each other, creating strong attachments. It is another way of thinking about school. And it is a creative way to ensure that students can not only dream but also succeed.

A Faulty Decision

On April 4, 2025, the Quebec government announced the abandonment of the renovation work, planned for several years, of the century-old building that has housed the F.A.C.E. school for 50 years, with the intention of subsequently selling the building. In response to this irresponsible and insensitive announcement, the community mobilized and launched the #SaveFACE movement. The movement aims to convince the government to reverse its decision and honor its commitment to renovate the school, as promised for more than a decade.
